In our 1922 episode, we included an interview with author Robert Allen, in which he discussed his book Cazaly, The Legend. In this discussion we chatted about Cazaly, football, life in the 1920's, footy in Tassie, and many more topics. For the episode we had to cut the interview down to fit it in, however we thought the discussion was too good to not put out there, so here it is, our interview with Robert Allen in full. After a year of recording episodes we decided to end the 2018 year with a look back at some of the interesting stories and facts we have discovered about the Australian Football from the years 1897-1920. 

We also discuss our favorite guests on the show

In this new episode, we take a look at the role VFL footballers played in the Great War. 

we also take a look at how the war effected the league, and the contribution made by the players. 

As part of this episode we spoke to two authors, Barbra Cullen, author of Harder than football, and we also chat to Nick Richardson, author of The Game of their lives. 

Both provide an interesting insight into VFL football and the war. 

To finish off we read a list of all the players that gave their lives in the war.
